Patricia's Sounds of the 70s AB Spreads

Hot Rod Lincoln is the theme for this spread in Patricia's "Sounds of the 70s" AB for the RR in our ICE Group. This was the 1st RR we started about a year ago...and we are on the last "leg" of the RR. So the books are making their way home and we are all very excited. I found some copies of tickets for Concerts that were in the 70s, so I copied them and used them here...also found this pic of "Tony Orlando & Dawn"
It is just me but I thought the cover of Patricia's Book was a little plain so I added this cute "Hippy Doll" I hope you like it Patricia...it really is cute and I have had the doll for a really long time and I knew someday the perfect opportunity would present its self...and wala...this was it...how cool is that????

Hi Linda dear. Sorry I haven't been by in a while. These pages are just great. It shows that you put a lot of thought, time, and love into them. They represent that era so well, which isn't easy to do. You did a fabulous job. The owner of this book is very fortunate to have your art in it.

Gee, and I haven't worked in an AB for soooo long. It's almost like I forgot that's what got me into altered art in the first place. One of these days, I need to get back into ABs. Although I'll be working on a fabric book soon -- my very first. I'm nervous about it!

Is that not the coolest idea for a book ever? I quit listening to music written after the 70's - what's the point? You go girl.

I loved this book. Working in it was so scary for me because it was the first book I had ever worked in. The pages are huge and that is a lot of space to work with I tell you! You make me want to go for a drive in one of these fabulous cars. My mom had a huge Cadillac it was red with white and red leather interior and I still remember summer drives to the beach where my legs would stick to the leather even with the a/c on it was so hot :) Really wish I could see this book again before it went home to it's owner.

Hi again, Linda...love your AB's...I just purchased some little ones at Value Village to alter, can't wait, but nothing as elaborate as what you have here will occur. BTW, one of the companies I do design work for is Altered Pages...I do kits for them. If you go there, I just did up a kit on Elvis...you know that is truly 70's...and the kit is not for sale because of copyright issues but you can pick up a digital copy of the Elvis collage sheet...it would be something you could probably use in your retro artwork...just a thought! Special hugs, Gayle.
